How to stop procrastinating

 Procrastination

The nemesis of getting work done, the enemy of

progress, the absolute opposite of completion. It is called by many names but we all are familiar with it. May it be because we have once done it ourselves or are still doing it, maybe we have a friend that hasn't finished his work that due tommorow or maybe a student that hasn't started answering their modules until the very week of its due that is now answering all their modules hastily is closely related to us. Not that I know of a student like that of course... Ahem moving on.

The fact is that most people have experiences in procrastinating and are troubled with how to solved it or avoid doing it. Luckily I have spent my time for the past couple of weeks not getting work done by getting work done! I have been procrastinating while studying how to avoid procrastinating! (The irony)

So with that in mind here are some tips/valuable information that I have come in contact with from the weeks that I have spent researching about procrastination;

1. Just do it!

From the wise words of Shia LaBeouf; "JUST DO IT!"
instead of just thinking of when you're going to do it or if you want to do it or not just do it! If your hung up on the excuses that you're making you will not get work done on time so next time instead of debating with yourself wether or not you're going to answer your modules that is due next week or play Mobile Legends Bang Bang just sit in front of your desk/modules grab a pen, get some paper, AND JUST DO IT!

2. Make it a routine to get work done

Procrastination is poison to the daily schedules of people it ruins most of people's day since they just keep saying "argh I still have time left i'll do it next time" and then when it is "next time" they then say "next time" and it just turns into this whole cycle of not getting work done. So instead people should make it a routine to get work done, to the point it becomes a habit. If people incorporate getting work done into their schedules and when it becomes a habit it'll not only boost their work efficiency but also stop our mortal enemy procrastination at its tracks.

3. Stop making excuses.

"My head hurts, i'll do it tommorow", "I don't feel like working right now.", "Brain. Not. Functioning. No work." Have you every used these lines before? If so then you might be experiencing symptoms of procrastination to stop it just, STOP MAKING EXCUSES. You'll never get any work done if even the slightest mosquito bite prevents you from getting work done. Avoid making excuses and getting hung up on your fake headache instead just do the work on the specified time.

And so the end.

So by now you've probably remembered you still have 12 modules left and the deadline is closing in or something similar. I won't keep you here for long just remember the three important tips JUST DO IT, Make it a routine to get work done and stop making excuses. With these three tips you're armed and ready for your upcoming week 8-9 modules or your work deadline or anything work related thing that comes your way, I congratulate you soldier you are now ready to take on the world well not really but atleast you beat procrastination now!
